Happy Friday everyone! Wish it didn't mean the end of my Spring Break but whatcha' gonna do?

It's been a nice and relaxing break. Can't say I did too much but I did nap. And I L-O-V-E naps!

My Easter was relatively calm. Just the bf, the pup and myself. I made pot roast. We laid around all day. We dressed my pup up as a bunny. It was a good day. :)

I bought myself an early birthday present. I've been dying for a new camera for years! So this pretty baby is now mine. 

I was also able to spend time with this little cutie. I love spending time with my niece. And considering I'm moving in with her at the end of the month...this is just the beginning of all the fun we are going to have!

This is my second year as our school's girls' track coach. I love it! The kids are so fun to work with. I'm used to my little 3rd graders and I actually do like the change of working with 7th and 8th graders. They get my humor. We had two practices over Spring Break. Didn't do too much running outside because of the SNOW and COLD but we did get some training in the library.

And finally, I've been laminating like there is no tomorrow! I'm actually getting excited (and anxious) about the next two weeks at work. It's the FINAL COUNTDOWN to our state tests. I like to try to make this review time as fun as possible and I'm looking forward to using One Extra Degree's Test Prep Blitz.

April Currently

Well I did it once again....I went another month without blogging. Only Farley can get me to do something. :)  I really do love reading about what everyone else is up to. I'm such a voyeur. lol.

Listening: This entire Spring Break has involved me and Law & Order SVU. I am becoming too paranoid though. I swear I was being followed in a Target parking lot the other day. tee hee

Loving: SPRING BREAK BABY! Too bad it's been more like Winter Break in Ohio. Next week is suppose to finally warm up....NEXT WEEK. Greeeeat. My parents are up from Florida. They are not happy with the weather here either. ;)

Thinking: I'm moving into my parents' old house with my brother, sister-in-law and niece at the end of the month. I haven't lived with anyone for the past 5 years. This is going to be interesting to say the least! 

Needing: This is embarrassing but here's a pic. 

I'm a picker and I've been picking the polish all week. BUT I'm getting a mani on Sunday with mom. Can't wait. 

Advice: I don't have any yet.

Wow, it's March's Currently already

I can't believe it's March already and I haven't blogged since December. Way to break my resolutions. Oh well. I have been busy with school. I LOVE my class and they are keeping me on my toes. Just 30 days til our state tests and I'm starting to flip out. Because I have such a small class this year my principal seems to think that I can work miracles with my kids. I have all ELL students and most started the school reading at a pre primer level. I've moved all of them up (there Was only one way to go!) but those passages are so hard for them. Oh well. I need to have faith and keep teaching away! 

Anyway on to Farley's currently. 

Listening: the bf has been sick for a week now with a cold or something. He's been so cuddly and lazy....I love it. But I guess I do want him feeling better. ;)

Loving: everything just seems to be fitting into place lately. I'm a happy girl!

Thinking: I stalk blogs every night and I don't do any of my own. Still going to try to work on this. I guess I don't feel like I have very interesting stories to tell. 

Wanting: my brother and I have been debating on getting Dsrl cameras and darnit...he beat me to it. He got a pretty sweet looking Nikon. Now I'm really getting the itch. I'm going to try to hold out til summer. I shouldn't add more to my plate right now. Girls' track starts in 2 weeks. 

Needing: my ex is buying my condo. Looooong story but I'm happy to be getting out of it. :) But this packing stuff is so much better in theory. I kept telling myself this is going to be a perfect time to purge but so far one box is packed. That's right...One! I've got a long way to go before April 15. 

Like: kittens. Wish I wasn't allergic.

Love: kisses. Maybe it's a Hispanic thing but I kiss a lot of people. On the cheek!!!! 

Hate: ketchup....and most other condiments. Weird...I know.

January 2013....currently.

Happy New Year everyone!! I didn't do any resolutions for 2013 because I always feel bad when I don't complete them. So I'm just going to say that I'm going to TRY to blog more and put my "creations" on TPT this year. I'm worried though that they won't be "Cute" enough because WOW, some things I see there are so adorable and educational! I don't know if I can compete.
Anyway, I'm just going to quickly link up to Farley's Currently. I will blog again soon my friends. :)

December Currently...

So I'm linking up with Farley to do this month's currently. I love reading what everyone else is up to and it's so funny to me that I have so many of the same thoughts. :)
For my RAK, there is a story. A few weeks ago, I was at my local Dollar Tree when I overheard this husband and wife debating over getting dish soap or bleach. I heard the man say that only had enough for one. I wanted to give them a dollar to get both but of course I had no cash so I quickly got the treats for my students and went to pay so I could get cash back. But then I lost them. I walked around the store a few times and couldn't find them. I couldn't get them out of my head. I have never had to think that way...one or the other. I'm so blessed and I need to spread the love. So next time I'm out and I hear something like that....I'm not hesitating. It's both the dish soap AND bleach.

Oh my gosh...I made something!

So I haven't blogged in quite a while but I have to say I've been stalking almost daily! I love, love, love so many of the ideas that teachers put on the internet. I felt bad that I don't share too much even though I make things for my class everyday, I never felt that they were cute enough to share. But now with my long 5 day weekend and the fact that I have a cold and don't feel like moving off the couch, I've made something that I'd like to share and get some feedback on. Maybe one day I'll actually sell something on teacherspayteachers.com! But I know I have a long way to go. So any feedback would be great!
Other than that, I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving and I really want to keep this blogging thing up so maybe...just maybe you'll hear from me again soon. :)

August Currently...my first one!

I really wish I knew more about blogging so I could do this more. It takes me so long to link up and add stuff that I get frustrated but I'm going to keep plugging away. :) Anyway, I'm doing my first Currently with Farley at Oh Boy 3rd Grade tonight.

B2S Must have's! I love my Scotch Laminator! It was a great deal on Amazon. I've used it a ton in just the few days I've had it. And bonus, no waiting in line to use the school's laminator!
I love card stock! I have it in every color I can find. Great combo with the laminator.
Comfy shoes! My feet are really going to miss flip flops and tennis shoes. I'm going to Dillard's this weekend to check on my staple brown and black shoes. Work shoes are the only time I splurge at a department store. Anyone have any good suggestions for cute yet comfy shoes?

1. I hate sauces ie. ketchup, mustard, dressings (of any sort) and BBQ. I do like melted cheese though. :)
2. I'm a huge Dave Matthews Band fan. I've been to about 18-19 shows. I lost track and so upset that I never saved all my tickets.
3. My first job was a Dairy Queen.
4. I have taught Kindergarten, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 7th and 8th grade.Third is my favorite.
5. I am Peruvian/Ecuadorian and I speak fluent spanish.
6. I own a 2 year old Yorkie, Bailey, who really sounds like a baby crying when he whines in his cage.
7. I didn't pierce my ears until I was 27. The thought of making holes in my ears freaked me out BUT I pierced my tongue when I was 21. I'm strange I know. (PS..my tongue is no longer pierced.)
